Hello there, and thank you for visiting Pretty Things Distract Me!

My name is Bec and I'm a WAHM with four gorgeous children (as you can see!) and a loving, supportive husband. Our story's a short, boring one, hehe. My husband is a stay at home carer/father. He is a carer for his ill father. I was searching for lovely accessories for our daughters Isobella and Jessyka on ebay and the items I bought were not up to my standard and honestly, I felt I could make better, for a cheaper price!

I researched for months before I finally decided to take the plunge and have a go at making some hair clips - within weeks I had orders coming in from friends and family and decided to give it a go - I met a friend who buys from me wholesale and it boosted my confidence levels so I decided to start a website.

Then I got pregnant and was on bedrest for the entire pregnancy. Miss Lola was born on 29th of July 2009 and instantly, I felt so human, so I started the business up again! Things are flying now... I have a few businesses that wholesale from me, customers that keep coming back for more, and now all my girls are spoilt rotten with hair accessories and nursery letters in their rooms!

Now if only I could find something fun and functional for boys, cos I feel like my lil man, Lachie, is missing out :(
